Gareth Bale is set to be offered a money-spinning route out of Real Madrid with Beijing Guoan ready to make him the highest-paid player in Chinese football history’.

Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane stepped up his attempts to force Bale out of the club this summer with an extraordinary declaration following their 3-1 pre-season defeat against Bayern Munich.

Zidane admitted the sooner Bale goes the better, prompting the Welshman’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, to label the former France international ‘a disgrace’. 

According to The Telegraph, Beijing Guoan have informed Madrid they are interested in signing the 30-year-old this summer. 

They claim that Bale will be offered in excess of £500,000-a-week in efforts to lure him to the Chinese Super League.

The highest-paid player in the league is currently Ezequiel Lavezzi, who it is estimated earns in the region of £500,000-a-week at Hebei China Fortune. 

Guoan are expected to face stern competition for Bale, but few clubs will be able to match such a lucrative incentive.

The Chinese side are thought to be one of the richest in the league and proved their spending power back in January when they splashed out £35m to sign Cedric Bakambu from Villarreal. 

Bale’s agent Barnett has also hinted that the forward’s next move could come as a surprise to many with his Madrid career seemingly over.

Zidane refused to play Bale in Madrid’s friendly defeat against Bayern Munich on Sunday and sent the Wales international to watch from the stands.

Whether Bale will be tempted by the big-money on offer in China or choose to stay in Europe with one of the elite Champions League sides remains to be seen.

Manchester United, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain have all previously been linked with the player and there is potential they could reignite their interest in him after Zidane’s admission Madrid are desperate to offload him.
