Newly crowned 2017/2018 Nigerian Women Premier League ( NWPL ) Champions Bayelsa Queens got a cash reward of 22 million Naira from their Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson.

In a crunch final against Nasarawa Amazons, the restoration girls grabbed  a hard-fought victory, defeating the defending champions 2-0 to win the coverted trophy.

In a reception ceremony at Government House, Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state Governor revealed that plans are ongoing to equip the Bayelsa State sporting sector with world class facilities that will put them at the forefront in terms of sporting facilities in the country. The Governor added that the victorious Queens have proven Bayelsa not to be a state associated with failure.

The Restoration girls were also offered a brand new Coastal bus ordered by the Governor for release to the newly crowned NWPL Champions.
