Barcelona’s Future Is In La Liga For Now – Club President

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed that the club’s future in the Spanish La Liga for now.

Bartomeu made this known while reacting to the recent unrest caused by Catalan independence referendum as he disclosed that the situation concerning Barcelona’s future does not exist for now.

In his words, Bartomeu said: “The situation concerning Barcelona’s future does not exist so far.”

“But with regards to what can happen in the future, the Board of Directors will discuss options.

“Following any independence vote, we would then analyse the situation calmly.

“We will find the best solution. If independence happens, we need to discuss things carefully.” he concluded.

La Liga leaders Barcelona had to play their Matchday 7 clash with visitors Las Palmas at Nou Camp in an empty stadium due to the unrest after their request to have the match postponed was turned down by the league’s body.
