Barcelona have reportedly turned down Liverpool’s request to have Philippe Coutinho back on loan until the end of the season.

Brazilian forward Coutinho is expected to complete his club record move to the Spanish outfit on Monday morning after both clubs reached an agreement over his sale.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool’s FSG owners made the loan suggestion to Barcelona through Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian but it was shut down by the Catalan club.

With Coutinho cup-tied for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League (UCL), Liverpool were hoping they could loan him back until the summer.
