Spanish champions Barcelona have signed Brazilian winger Malcom from French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
Malcom, 21, joins the La Liga giants after putting pen to paper on a five-year contract in a deal worth €41m (£36.5m) with an additional €1m (£900,000) in variables.
His transfer was confirmed by the Nou Camp outfit on Tuesday evening.
Italian Serie A side AS Roma had announced on Monday that they have reached an agreement with Bordeaux for Malcom subject to medical and personal terms being agreed but the player has opted for Barcelona with his medicals set for Wednesday.
He becomes Barcelona’s second signing of the summer after the arrival of fellow Brazilian Arthur from Gremio in a £35.5 deal.
The 21-year-old midfielder replaced Paulinho who has returned to Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande.
