Barcelona have moved four points clear at the summit of the Spanish La Liga after the team defeated Catalan rivals Girona 3-0.

Girona defender Aday put through his own net in the first half before another own goal from goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz put the Spanish giants 2-0 up in the 48th minute. Uruguay striker Luis Suarez added a third goal for Barcelona on his 100th La Liga appearance to give his team a comprehensive victory.

By virtue of the win, Barcelona move to 18 points from 6 games as they maintain their 100% start to the season. They are presently four points clear of nearest challengers Atletico Madrid and significantly seven points ahead of arch rivals Barcelona.
