Balarabe Yusuf is Wikki Tourists’ New Chairman

Alhaji Balarabe Yusuf has been appointed chairman of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Wikki Tourists FC.

The appointment was approved by Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed according to a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Sabiu Baba.

Yusuf is to assume the role with immediate effect according to the letter.

“Your appointment is made at a time when the club is in dire need of competent mature experienced hands to steer its affairs,” the letter read.

Wikki Tourists has been without a chairman for the last two years and was directly run by the Bauchi State Ministry of Youths and Sports.

Yusuf popularly known as Douglas is expected to “awaken” the 12th placed NPFL “from slumber” by making “use of the available equipment and manpower on ground to achieve the required expectations of the people of the state.”

His appointment comes alongside the constitution of a board of management for the Bauchi based club.

Members of the board include: Alhaji Yusuf Gimba, Ibrahim, Musa, Alhaji Idi Misau and Shehu Aliyu.
