BAL: Rivers Hoopers Face Ferroviario In Opening Game

NBBF President Cup Champions Rivers Hoopers will face Mozambican League champions Ferroviario de Maputo in their opening game of the Basketball Africa League on 21 March in Monastir, Tunisia.

The game marks the first of back-to-back games in Monastir for the Nigerian champions who will also play US Monastir on 22 March in the same venue.

In all, three-time Nigerian League Champions Rivers Hoopers will play five games in the group phase with the two games in Tunisia followed by two more in Lagos before their last game in Cairo, Egypt.

Following their opening two games in Tunisia, Rivers Hoopers will then play Forces Armees et Police Basketball (FAP) of Cameroon on 17 April before facing off against Zamalek of Egypt two days later in Lagos.

Their last game in the Nile Conference will be away in Cairo against Patriots Basketball Club of Rwanda on 1 May.

The top four teams from the Nile Conference will advance to the single-elimination playoffs (Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, third Place Game and Championship Game) scheduled to take place between May 26 and 31 in Kigali, Rwanda.
