Ayinde: We Are Ready For “Our Wives” The Indomitable Lionesses (Audio)

Super Falcon’s midfield mainstay Halimatu Ayinde says the Falcons are ready for “our wives” the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, who “we beat all the time”.

Both teams take to the Accra Sports Stadium in the semi-final of the ongoing 2018 Women Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana on Tuesday 27, November with the winners securing a place in the final and a berth at the 2019 FIFA Women World Cup in France.

With so much riding on the game, Ayinde believes the Falcons who have defeated the Cameroonians nine out of eleven times, most recently in the finals of these same championships in 2014 and 2016, feel no pressure and have nothing to fear from the Cameroonians.

“We are not under any pressure,” the 23-year old defensive midfielder told busybuddiesng.com, “they are the ones under pressure not [us] because they are like our wives we beat them all the time. So we are not under any pressure, all we are doing is to remain focused, try to get things right and take the day.”
