Ayew’s Sending Off Proves Costly As Liverpool Secure Comeback Win Against Palace

Jordan Ayew’s sending proved costly for Crystal Palace who surrendered their lead to lose 2-1 to Liverpool at Selhurst Park in Saturday’s Premier League.

Palace were heading to victory thanks to Jean Philippe Mateta’s 57th minute goal from the penalty spot.

Things went south for Palace with 15 minutes left as Ayew received his second yellow card in the game.

Liverpool took advantage of the sending off and equalized just one minute later through Mohamed Salah.

In the 91st minute Liverpool grabbed the winner thanks to Harvey Elliot.

The win took Liverpool to first place on 37 points and Palace occupy 14th on 16 points in the league table.
