Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been told he can leave AA Gent this month.

The Nigerian has struggled for form during his loan and both clubs have agreed to cut short the deal.

The final choice will be left to the player – and Awoniyi is leaning towards staying with Gent.

Impressive with Moeskroen last season, the youngster has failed to repeat the form with Gent.

Awoniyi’s management has fielded enquiries from Turkey in recent days.
