AUDIO: New Boys Go Round FC Target NPFL Title – Coach Ngozi Elechi

Technical Adviser of newly-promoted top flight side, Go Round FC, Ngozi Elechi says his target is to guide the Omoku-based modest outfit to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in their maiden appearance in the top flight.

Last season, Go Round gained promotion to the NPFL by finishing second in the Southern Conference of the Nigeria National League behind Heartland FC of Owerri.

Asked what his target for the upcoming NPFL season which begins this weekend is, the former Plateau United player said: “Yes, it is possible for us to win the league title because all the young coaches have done it. So we are not going to be an exception.

“We are confident we are going to come out as the first four teams in the league.

“Yes, Go Round is targeting the title of the Nigeria Professional Football League,” the young tactician emphasized while speaking on Channels TV on Tuesday.

Last season Kennedy Boboye, 43, led Plateau United to the NPFL crown while Imama Amapakabo, 48, guided Rangers to the title for the first time in 32 years in 2016.

Elechi’s charges will open their campaign in the NPFL with an away fixture against Wikki Tourists on 14 January at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa stadium in Bauchi.
