Inter Milan’s Ashley Young returned to training with a new hairstyle as Serie A is poise to resume after the coronavirus suspension.
The former Manchester winger has always maintained a skincut but was pictured in training with grown hairs on Monday.
The former England international had been in lockdown since March with Italy one of the worst-affected countries in Europe, but measures are now being slowly relaxed.
Italy Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced that from Monday, shops, salons, hairdressers, pubs, restaurants and museums could re-open while Serie A clubs were given the green light to return to training in small groups.
Despite barbers opening up again, Young clearly did not have a cut before training on Monday as he showed off his new – and very different – look.
Top-flight clubs up and down the country returned to the training pitch at the start of this week despite Parma confirming that two of their players had tested positive for the virus.
There is still some ambiguity around when Serie A will be able to return to action, though there are hopes matches can resume behind closed doors next month.
Football fans did have their say on Young’s grown hairs.
