Arsenal To Let Barcelona Down With Transfer Decision

Barcelona loanee Denis Suarez is not likely to get a permanent move to Arsenal once his loan deal expires, the Sun reports.

The Spaniard signed a loan deal with Arsenal on transfer deadline day from Barcelona in January.

Arsenal however have the option to make Suarez’s loan move permanent for £18m if they wish to.

And according to the Sun, Emery believes Suarez hasn’t been able to cope adequately with the physical demands of the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has not started a single game since arriving in January and has only made six substitute appearances.

Emery is said to be giving Suarez every chance to become the player he needs the midfielder to be – but no improvement has been shown.

The Gunners tried to no avail to sign Dalian Yifang’s Yannick Carrasco and Inter’s Ivan Perisic on loan and it appeared they settled for Barcelona’s Suarez on deadline day in January.
