English giants Arsenal have been handed a tough semifinal fixture in the UEFA Europa League (UEL) after the draw took place on Friday morning.
The Gunners will have to navigate past favourites Atletico Madrid in the semifinal as they continue the quest to win the competition and also secure a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL)
Arsenal will host Atletico Madrid in the 1st leg at the Emirates Stadium on April 26 before the return leg scheduled for the new Wanda Metropolitano on May 3.
In the other semifinal, Olympique Marseille will host Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg in the 1st leg on April 26 before the French side travel to Austria for the 2nd leg on May 3.
