Arsenal Goalkeeper David Ospina Completes Napoli Loan Move

Colombian international goalkeeper David Ospina has completed his loan move to Italian Serie A giants Napoli from Arsenal.

The 29-year-old moves to Napoli on a season-long loan deal from the North London giants.

Napoli will pay a loan fee of €1m (£895,000) with an option to make the deal permanent for around €4m (£3.58m) next summer.

He became surplus to requirement at the Emirates Stadium following the arrival of German international goalkeeper Bernd Leno in a big money move from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

David Ospina moved to Arsenal from French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice after putting pen to paper on a six-year contract in a £3m deal in July 2014.

His transfer to the was in the wake of his stellar performances for Colombia at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.

He has made 90 appearances for Colombia since making his debut for the South Americans in 2007.
