Arsenal Beat Milan To Take Charge Of UEL Tie

Arsenal have put themselves in a commanding position after they defeated AC Milan 2-0 at the San Siro in what was the 1st leg of their UEFA Europa League (UEL) round of 16 tie.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan shot the Gunners into the lead via a deflected strike before Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey added a second goal on the stroke of halftime.

The North London side thereafter held on to their two-goal advantage against the 7-time European champions thereby ending the Italians’ 13-match unbeaten run.

Both sides meet again in the second leg scheduled for the Emirates Stadium on Thursday, March 15.
