Anthony Joshua Torn Between Nigeria And England Ahead Of June 2 Friendly

Heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has revealed how difficult it is for him to pick between Nigeria and England when both sides clash in an international friendly billed for June 2.

Both sides are preparing for this summer’s FIFA World Cup and they see the game as a crucial part of getting ready for the tournament in Russia.

Anthony Joshua was born in Watford to Nigerian parents and that explains his allegiance to both nations.

He was speaking with the official Twitter handle of Wembley Stadium. When asked about his next visit to the magnificent edifice, the reigning IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight world champ said, “Er, England vs Nigeria I suppose?

“Just make sure you get me the easiest access point to whichever side is winning.” he added.

AJ as he is popularly called, would be making a return to Wembley for the game since 90,000 spectators cheered his victory against Wladimir Klitschko in April 2017.
