Another Injury Blow For Manchester City! Striker Suffers Fractured Rib After Car Crash – Reports

Manchester City have reportedly been dealt another huge injury blow after their Argentine striker, Sergio Aguero, was said to have suffered a fractured rib in a car crash in the Netherlands

Sources close to ESPN Sur confirmed the unfortunate news and also revealed that Aguero was a passenger in a taxi whose destination was the airport in the Netherlands capital of Amsterdam. The driver of the taxi was said to have lost control of the vehicle and thereafter hit a column by the roadside.

The 29-year old had earlier attended a concert put together by a Colombian singer known as Maluma on Thursday night in Amsterdam.

According to the aforementioned sources, the former Atletico Madrid striker could now miss around six to eight weeks due to the rib injury meaning that he is certain to miss Saturday’s vital English Premier League (EPL) clash at champions Chelsea as well as the all important set of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers for Argentina next week.

The injury to Aguero would be a big blow to Manchester City who are still coming to terms with the news that French defender Benjamin Mendy could be ruled out of action for the rest of the season after rupturing knee ligaments.
