British boxer completely lost his cool after his next opponent Phil Lo Greco taunted him about his personal fight at a pre-fight promotional event ahead of their April 21 meeting in Liverpool.

The 31-year old former world champion reacted by throwing water over Phil Lo Greco.

British welterweight Khan will battle Lo Greco in his first fight in almost two years but the promotional event for the fight didn’t go as planned after Lo Greco pointed to Khan’s family issues and marital difficulties since losing to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in May 2016.

Khan swiftly responded by throwing water at the Canadian to initiate an on-stage melee.

Lo Greco said: “After the Canelo loss you went on a losing streak – family, wife, and then you go out and tweet to the heavyweight champion of the world. What is wrong with you, mate?”

He was making reference to a tweet Khan sent to heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in August 2017 about his own marriage though he later apologised for sending it.

After calm returned with the help of security, promoter Eddie Hearn asked Lo Greco to apologise, while Khan later revealed that the behaviour of his rival would serve as motivation to “give this guy a beating”.
