President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick says the Super Falcons are the best women’s national team in the world.

Despite the Super Falcons retaining their top position in Africa, they dropped from 38th to 39th position in the latest FIFA world ranking.

“They are the best football team in terms of national teams in the world,” Pinnick said on Friday during an interview on ARISE TV.

“Germany won the European women championship eight times, America won the CONCACAF in the region of the Americas eight times,” he continued.

“The Falcons have gone beyond that, so we are number one in the world.”

The first vice president of the Confederation of African Football, went further to admit that the Super Eagles are top priority over other national teams.

The NFF president also reaffirmed that the Falcons will take part in the 2019 edition of Cyprus Cup, an invitational tournament, ahead of their 2019 FIFA World Cup next year’s summer.
