Alassane Plea Joins Gladbach From Nice

Highly rated French striker Alassane Plea has completed his transfer to German Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Plea, 25, joins the club from French side OGC Nice after signing a five-year deal.

He moved from Olympique Lyon to Nice in 2014 and went on to become a key player for the club, netting 44 goals in 135 appearances in all competitions.

Alassane Plea netted 16 French Ligue 1 goals for Nice in 35 matches last season.

On the club’s new acquisition, sporting director Max Eberl said: “We’re delighted that this transfer has gone through and that our efforts to beat off a number of prestigious other clubs have been rewarded.”

“Alassane desperately wanted to come to Borussia. He’s a versatile, fast and intelligent forward who has already underlined his qualities in Ligue 1 and in the Europa League.” He concluded.
