
Highly rated French striker Alassane Plea has completed his transfer to German Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchengladbach.
Plea, 25, joins the club from French side OGC Nice after signing a five-year deal.
He moved from Olympique Lyon to Nice in 2014 and went on to become a key player for the club, netting 44 goals in 135 appearances in all competitions.
Alassane Plea netted 16 French Ligue 1 goals for Nice in 35 matches last season.
On the club’s new acquisition, sporting director Max Eberl said: “We’re delighted that this transfer has gone through and that our efforts to beat off a number of prestigious other clubs have been rewarded.”
“Alassane desperately wanted to come to Borussia. He’s a versatile, fast and intelligent forward who has already underlined his qualities in Ligue 1 and in the Europa League.” He concluded.
