Akwa United midfielder has set his sights on the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) title as he revealed that him and his teammates are working towards achieving it.
The former Enyimba star made this known in a chat with footballlive.
In his words, he said: “We are working for this.”
“In terms of mentality we are equal to anyone. There is a lot of enthusiasm to grow within the club, to give a lot to Nigerian football, to the fans, to everyone because they deserve it.
“Let’s say that we are on the right path. There is a lot of work to do, but the lads have applied themselves a lot.
“It will be an interesting end to the season.
“There is growth within the group. We are worker-like in spirit and strength. There is a great capacity to adapt.” He concluded.
The NPFL has been suspended indefinitely due to the ongoing crisis troubling the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) but that has not stopped Kelly Kester from dreaming about the title.
Akwa United are second on the league table and just two points behind leaders Lobi Stars with 14 games left.
