The Nest of Champions in Uyo, Akwa Ibom has been picked as the venue for Aiteo Cup 2017 men’s final scheduled to hold on October 8, 2017.

According to sources close to busybuddiesng.com, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) arrived at the choice of Uyo as venue due to logistics.

The same venue is the adopted home of the Super Eagles in recent times and it will play hosts to the crucial Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia just a day before the Aiteo Cup final (on October 7).

Also, the Nigerian Women Professional Football League (NWPL) Super Four tournament would start in Benin City 24 hours after the Aiteo Cup (from October 9 to October 14).

The women’s final venue had earlier been confirmed by NFF’s 1st vice president,  Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, who revealed that Bayelsa would be the centre for the final clash slated for October 2, 2017.
