Algerian star Riyad Mahrez has missed training again as he lives with the disappointment of his failed move to Manchester City.
The 2016 African footballer of the year has now missed training for four days in quick succession.
Premier League leaders Manchester City were keen on making the Algerian their second major signing of the just concluded transfer window but they couldn’t reach a financial agreement with the Foxes prompting him to stay at the King Power Stadium until the end of the season at least.
Mahrez joined Leicester City in January 2014 before playing a crucial role in the Foxes’ unlikely English Premier League (EPL) win under Italian manager Claudio Ranieri in 2016.
He missed the midweek loss to Everton and he is almost certain to miss Saturday’s Premier League game at home to Swansea City.
