Spanish international forward Aritz Aduriz has penned a one-year contract extension at Athletic Bilbao until the summer of 2019.
The contract extension for the 36-year old was confirmed by the Basque club. His release clause of €40m in the new contract is still the same with what was obtainable with the last one.
Athletic Club and Artitz Aduriz have signed the renewal contract by which the player will remain in the rojiblanca discipline until 30 June 2019. His cancellation clause will be 40 million Euros. #athletic pic.twitter.com/4nZDLue2V1

Aritz Aduriz is still an important player for his Basque Club in what is his second spell. He has scored 9 goals for Athletic Bilbao this season in addition to a whooping 156 Spanish career La Liga goals.
This news would come as a relief to Athletic Bilbao considering that goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga’s contractual situation is still unresolved.
