The Busy Buddies is an independent Broadcast Brand owned and managed by Tregong Nigeria Limited. The Busy Buddies is broadcasting/MediaBrand-with radio shows on radio stations around Nigeria.
Busy Buddies also have online contents with a YouTube TV, as well as a heavy presence on Social Media. Current members of Busy Buddies – Kelechi Nkoro, Deji Faremi, Okon Nya, Titus Bankole, James Akpoo & Segun Amuda – have several years of experience within and outside Nigeria including previous stints on Cool FM, Wazobia FM, BBC, AIT, Paradise FM, Raypower, NTA, Unilag FM, TVC Sport Centre and Nigeria Info FM.
Okon ‘Ediye’ Nya was born in Calabar on the 29 June and attended the prestigious Hillcrest High School in Calabar, then had his tertiary education in the University of Calabar where he graduated with a Bsc. Economics in 2011.
Okon’s venture into the sports broadcasting world started at a very young age and comes from his passion for football, Tennis and Formula One and sports in general.
He worked with the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation(CRBC) between May 2007 and October 2012 when he moved to Lagos to join the Cool FM, Wazobia FM and Nigeria Info FM family.
Okon left CoolWazobiaInfo in June 2016 to form The Busy Buddies – a sports brand with shows on a few radio stations around Lagos State including Bond 92.9 and WFM 91.7.
He also had a stint with the Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation(AKBC) between 2008-09 where he co-presented the Fansplanet Show on television.
Okon has a passion for music and raps during his spare time. He has interviewed some of the big wigs in the sports world including former African Footballer of the year, Nwankwo Kanu and former president of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF), Alhaji Aminu Maigari.
Deji Faremi is an international broadcast journalist and writer. Born in Lagos State, Nigeria, Deji has been a broadcaster for four years and has been involved in nationwide projects, including commentaries for the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
In August 2016, he formed The Busy Buddies with Kelechi Nkoro, Ikon Nya, Titus Bankole & James Akpoo.
Before then, he worked with Nigeria Info & Cool FM, where he was a member of their sports team, Femi & the Gang.
Deji currently writes for www.justfootball.com and has featured on a number of other websites.
He has a degree in History and Diplomatic Studies as well as a Diploma in Strategic Studies.

Kelechi Ihechimere Nkoro is a trained Broadcast Journalist with Sportscasting speciality. He also holds a diploma in Theology and Business Development/Branding.
In 2011, he joined Coolwazobiainfo (96.9 FM, 95.1 Wazobia FM and 99.3 Nigeria Info FM) family as an analyst/commentator to form ‘Femi & the Gang’ a leading sports broadcasting group in the country at the time. During his time there, Kelechi Nkoro a.k.a Italian Mafia, grew a robust journalistic stature and and an outstanding professional persona, becoming one of the most renowned and sought after analysts and pidgin English football commentators in the country.
In 2012, he occupied the pidgin commentary box for Super Sports TV as a pidgin English commentator at Copa Lagos Beach Soccer tournament in Lagos, Nigeria. His vast pidgin English commentating skills landed him another role on a bigger stage in 2014 with OSMI Studios (Nigeria’s broadcast rights holders for the FIFA 2014 World Cup), where he functioned as one of the lead pidgin English commentators for the tournament, placing him among the first and best pidgin English commentators in the world from Nigeria.
Kelechi Nkoro parted company with Femi and the Gang in June 2016 going to co-found dynamic sportscasting and media content development brands; The Busy Buddies and Tregong Nigeria Limited.
The Busy Buddies have got programmes airing on 92.9 Bond FM and he is a regular feature on the shows as a presenter and an analyst.
He also features on many TV shows as an analyst – ‘NTA Sports World’ and ‘Sports Centre’ on TV Continental to mention a few.
As a reporter, he has covered many local and international Sports competitions and tournaments. Most recent of them, CHAN 2016 in Rwanda.
Kelechi Nkoro debuted his acting career in Check Point 1, a stage play and continued with Check Point 2.

Titus Bankole is a British/Nigerian sport presenter/analyst and a football commentator. He is also a Phonetician/Phonologist, Speech Therapist, Voice Coach, Voice over Artist and currently lives in Nigeria. After bagging multiple degrees in Linguistics/English Phonetics and Phonology fields in the UK, Titus proceeded to acquire broadcasting/journalism skills.
Titus Bankole had a training in Journalism skills (Presenting) with BBC Academy and also attended The Radio School UK in Kent, England and received multiple awards as an outstanding scholar in both institutions. After completing his training with the BBC, he had a 1-Month stint as a Rugby and Cricket reporter/correspondent with BBC Five Live Sports. Titus also worked with iTV Sports as a content supervisor for football research productions. Apart from being a BBC trained and certified broadcaster, Titus holds several professional degrees in sports commentating hence his vast and versatile journalistic skills are proven.
Titus Bankole was once a member of Femi and the Gang, a radio sports team with Cool 96.9 FM, Wazobia TV and 99.3 Nigeria Info FM. He has featured on several independent TV sports productions such as Inside Sports, NTA Sports world. He was part of NTA’s production/coverage of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as an analyst and presenter.
Titus is currently an analyst and presenter with Tre Gong TV and The Busy Buddies. As a seasoned educationist, Titus is the C.E.O./ Principal Consultant – Phoniteknix International, a leading English phonetics consultancy in Nigeria with robust and popular clientele; Global International School, Princeton Schools Lagos, Chrisland Schools, Emerald Schools Ghana, Rosebank School South Africa, among others. His innate English pronunciation teaching skills have earned him many special recognition awards home and abroad. Titus as an IPA certified member, is ranked 3rd in the League of West African English Phonologists/Phoneticians since 2012.

Emeka Dennar is a Sports writer with so much knack for Nigerian football. His passion for the beautiful game on the domestic scene is simply amazing.
He is equally the Head of Sports at Today 95.1 Fm Port Harcourt, where he doubles as a Sportscaster and producer.
Noah got involved in journalism as an undergraduate looking to grow his passion for writing by joining the Zik Hall Press Organization affiliated to the Union of Campus Journalists both in the University of Ibadan. He is an avid reader and a follower of the creative arts.

Azu Umeh was born in Lagos and graduated with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
An avid reader and radio-head, Azu was always destined for Journalism and he started out by acquiring a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Training School. He also holds certifications in Journalism from the University of Strathclyde and never misses an opportunity to bolster his knowledge.
Azu has worked for the Voice of Nigeria, the Sun Newspapers and Sportsville Communications where he was the producer and presenter of the widely syndicated radio show Sports Roundup.
