2022 FIFA WCQ: Early Birds Hit Super Eagles Camp

Kevin Akpoguma, Jamilu Collins, Paul Onuachu and Daniel Akpeyi are the first four players to arrive at the Super Eagles’ camp in Tangier, Morocco, the team’s media officer announced on Monday.

Ola Aina, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Chidera Ejuke, Frank Onyeka and Kelechi Iheanacho have also arrived the team’s camp.

Nigeria take on the Lone Star of Liberia on 13 November in Tangier, Morocco before hosting the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde at the Teslim Balogun Stadium three days later in their final group games of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Coach Gernot Rohr has invited 23 players for both matches and the team’s camp opened on Monday.

More players are expected to arrive later on Monday and early on Tuesday as Nigeria plots to take the sole ticket for the next and final round of qualifying matches for Qatar 2022.
