2021 Jordan Nwora Foundation Elite Camp: Organisers Announce Dates, Venues

Organisers of the 2021 Jordan Nwora Foundation Elite Camps have announced dates and venues for the inaugural edition of the event designed for budding basketball players across Nigeria.

The camp, a collaborative effort between the Nigeria Basketball Federation and D’Tigers player, Jordan Nwora who was recently drafted by NBA side the Milwaukee Bucks will start off in Abuja, Nigeria between the 5 and 7 April and is open to young children and adults looking to sharpen their basketball skills.

The North-East leg (Bauchi, Borno, Taraba, Adamawa and Gombe) will hold in Gombe state between 9 and 11 April while the North-Central region (Niger, Kogi, Benue, Plateau and Nassarawa) will take centre stage between 15 and 17 April in Makurdi.

Kids in the South East (Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo) will have the chance to learn the fundamentals of the sport from some of the best basketball coaches between 19 and 21 April in Onitsha.

According to the organisers, participation is free with up to 60 boys and 40 girls between the ages of 14 and 19 expected at each venue.

Interested kids and parents have been advised to contact their Zonal representatives on the NBBF board for more information.

As part of plans for a successful camping exercise targeted at providing platforms for the next generation of basketball players to hone their skills, 100 selected campers in each of the cities will be fed and accommodated.
