2019 Amputee Football Nations Cup: Nigeria Beat Liberia In Opener

Nigeria amputee football team, the Special Eagles, marked their return to the Cup of African Nations for Amputee Football (CANAF) since 2013 with a 1-0 victory over defending champions Liberia on Friday.

Kelvin Kingsley scored the all-important goal to secure the points for Nigeria at the Nacional Benguela Stadium, Angola.

The Special Eagles take on Cameroon in their next fixture on Saturday at the Ombaka Stadium.

The Cup of African Nations for Amputee Football (CANAF) is a biennial tournament organised by the Amputee Football Federation for Africa (AFFA) to determine Africa’s best team and also serves as part of qualifiers for the World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) organised Amputee World Cup.
