2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Matchday 2 qualifiers have been given a new schedule.

According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Matchday 2 qualifying fixtures will now take place from September 3-11, 2018.

The aforementioned fixtures were initially slated for March 19-27, 2018 before they were postponed on the request of Nigeria.

The request was to allow CAF’s 2018 World Cup representatives (Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Tunisia and Senegal) use the FIFA international window (March) to prepare for the tournament.
