2018 World Cup Qualifier: South Africa Vs Senegal To Be Replayed In November

The 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between South Africa and Senegal will be replayed according to the FIFA bureau committee ruling.

The decision is in effect to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upholding the lifetime ban of Ghanaian referee Joseph Odartei Lamptey over unlawfully influencing South Africa vs Senegal match results last year November.

Referee Lamptey was found guilty of breaching art. 69 par. 1 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code following South Africa 2-1 victory over Senegal in the World Cup qualifier last year.

The replay will now take place within the November 2017 international window with the exact date yet to be determined.
