The home based Super Eagles of Nigeria have been welcomed to the Republic of Benin by Nigeria’s ambassador to the tiny West African Nation, as the CHAN Eagles prepare to face Benin in a 2018 CHAN Qualifier.
Nigeria’s ambassador to Benin, Amb. Kayode Oguntuase, paid a courtesy visit to the team on Friday night, following the team’s arrival at the Benin Royal Hotel.
Nigeria is seeking to make its 3rd appearance in the Championship for African Nations (CHAN), following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the first two editions before winning bronze in 2014 and getting knocked out in the group stage in 2016.
The 2018 CHAN would take place in Kenya From January 11 to February 2.
