The Black Stars of Ghana won’t be participating in the 2018 Championship for African Nations (CHAN) in Kenya following their shock 1-2 loss to Burkina Faso in Kumasi.

Having missed out of the 2016 CHAN in Rwanda, Ghana failed to make it to the second successive CHAN finals, losing 3-4 on aggregate to Burkina Faso at home despite earning an impressive 2-2 away draw in the first leg last weekend.

Burkina Faso raced to a two goal lead in the first with goals from Sylla Mohammed and Nikiema Herman in the 8th and 28th minute respectively.

Felix Addo then halved the deficit for the Black Stars in the second half, but it was too little too late to salvage a come back for the Ghanaians.
