Nigeria’s U20 national women’s national team have emerged champions in the Women’s Football event at the ongoing 12 African Games in Morocco after a 3-2 penalty shootout win over Cameroon.

Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was the hero as she saved three spot-kicks to help Nigeria to victory after regulation and extra time ended goalless.

The men’s team, the Flying Eagles will hope to replicate the same outcome when they take on Burkina Faso in the final of the Men’s Football event on Friday, 30 August.
